COVID-19 Prevention Tips

Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) is a respiratory condition caused by the newly discovered coronavirus. It is important to know how to prevent the coronavirus.

Step 1: Stop the spread of germs

COVID-19 is a disease that is spread via contact. So the step 1 is to limit contact with the outer world.

  • Maintain the distance of at least 6 feet from other people
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue, when sneezing/coughing, and once done, dispose of the tissue paper in the trash and wash your hands
  • When in public, always wear a cloth-based mask/surgical mask/shield over your nose and mouth to protect yourself and others from the risk of getting infected
  • Avoid touching your face (eyes, nose, and mouth)
  • Wash your hands often and sanitize them with an alcohol-based sanitizer, when going out or staying outdoors

Step 2: Build your immunity system

Coronavirus, like any other disease, has to fight against our immunity system. Hence, we need to keep our immunity system strong by making it habitual to follow the below stated guidelines.

  • Stay well hydrated
  • Get a good amount of rest and sleep
  • Avoid smoking, alcohol, or other tobacco or caffeine-based products
  • Create and follow a workout routine
  • Meditate often
  • Include these supplements in your daily diet: Turmeric, garlic, Vitamins C & D, Zinc
  • Inhale steam with Mint leaves and Caraway seeds.

Step 3: Make your environment safer

The environment you are keep yourself in plays an important role to keep you safe from the coronavirus.

  • Avoid visiting crowded places
  • Avoid closed or indoor settings (if this isn’t possible, ensure keeping the windows open)
  • Clean and disinfect surfaces frequently, especially those which are regularly touched

If you have been experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19

  • Stay home and self-isolate even if you have minor symptoms like cold, mild fever, or headache.
  • If you have been experiencing major and serious symptoms, seek medical help. Call and inform your doctor before you visit the clinic/hospital. This will help them prepare to treat you and protect medical staff and other patients.
